Lean Hog Futures Little Higher

February lean hogs are trading at 64.12, up 0.40 cents/lb. April lean hogs are trading at 68.52, up 0.20 cents/lb. June lean hogs are trading at 77.85, up 0.10 cents/lb. Lean hog futures are trading steady to higher just after the open. Chatter about weather for animal movement and impacts consumer demand is making the rounds. Monday's USDA hog slaughter was 426,000 head versus 313,000 a year ago.
