Analyst on average expect the company to report earnings of $0.89 per share, flat with the year-ago number, on revenues of $32.09 billion, down 6.30 percent from $34.25 billion last year.
In July 2016, Verizon negotiated an agreement with Yahoo! Inc. YHOO to buy the latter's operating business for $4.83 billion in cash.
Shares of Verizon showed a lack of direction in 2016 and yet ended the year with a gain of 15.49 percent. However, since the start of 2017, the stock is down 2.21 percent.
