Frontier Communications FTR announced today that it invested more than $14 million in 2010 to increase broadband availability and enhance network performance in Wisconsin. The investments have resulted in an additional 15,000 Wisconsin households and businesses having broadband availability as of January 2011.
The company's investment in facilities has transformed many of the service areas Frontier acquired last year in terms of technology and quality of life. In addition to expanding the availability of broadband, the company made major upgrades, deploying a state-of-the-art network. This enhanced network significantly increases capacity and enables customers to enjoy faster Internet speeds.
