Not to be outdone, Kate Spade & Co KATE introduced its Spring 2016. According to Hollywood Life, the new line is inspired by "New York City flashes of delight like the flowers at local bodegas" and the collection will "blend seamlessly into any fashionista's closet, from the sporty working girl to the city slicker."
While much of the spotlight of the fashion show is (appropriately so) centered on fashion brands and retailers, investors should be reminded that technology companies are also looking to take center stage in the fast growing wearable technology segment.
Intel Corporation INTC, along with Fossil Group Inc FOSL will a href=" https://blogs.intel.com/technology/2015/09/infusing-fashion-with-smart-technology-at-new-york-fashion-week/">showcase products from Fossil's Connected Accessories. Outside of the fashion space, Intel is also working with electric aviation manufacturer Yuneec to bring Yuneec Typhoon 4k drones to the runway and capture never seen before angles during various fashion shows.
Finally, New York Fashion Week's owner WME/IMG has partnered with Apple to bring an exclusive network, Made 2 Measure, to Apple TV.
The new network will debut a few weeks after the fashion show ends and will contain documentary series on designers, industry issues and trends, and new looks at the shows that took place during the fashion event.
