Fox Business Network's Senior Correspondent, Charlie Gasparino, is reporting this afternoon that Bank of America BAC is worried that they are the target of Wikileaks and has set up a “war room” to handle the potential release of information on Countrywide, mortgage creation, and Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Gasparino said, “This war room is looking at three major areas. They are looking at potential of this documents related to Countrywide. Countrywide is a subprime lender. BofA bought it in 2008. They are looking at mortgage creation. And the third area is Bank of America's purchase of Merrill Lynch, which is a very messy deal.”
He added, “I have one source who said they have seen documents that involve Bank of America. Bank of America is worried. Fox Business Network has learned they have set up something known as a war room. They are preparing for this document dump.”
There has been no proof that Bank of America is in fact the target of Wikileaks.
