General Motors Appoints Cadillac Head As Australia and New Zealand Division's Director

General Motors Co GM Australia and New Zealand division appointed Jess Bala as managing director, effective Sept. 1, 2023.

Bala will replace Marc Ebolo, who will be serving as the director of sales at GM Middle East, as per the Report.

She will lead several operations, including Isuzu New Zealand, GM specialty vehicles and Chevrolet racing.

Bala has most recently served as director of global product planning and product strategy at Cadillac, which General Motors owns.

She had facilitated the transition to an all-EV brand by the decade’s end at Cadillac.

“Jess is a highly experienced GM professional who has 15+ years leading and implementing winning product strategies, including the introduction and positioning of electric vehicles in both retail and commercial markets,” said Ernesto Ortiz, president and managing director of GM’s strategic markets, alliances, and distributors region (including Australia and New Zealand).

Bala will be speaking at the Benzinga EV webinar next week.
