Is The Real Steve Jobs Story Finally On Its Way? (AAPL)

After years of unauthorized biographies, Apple AAPL co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs has given his approval for an authorized biography about his life. According to the Detroit News, Simon & Schuster has announced that “iSteve: The Book of Jobs” will be published early next year. The book, which is being written by Walter Isaacson, has been in development since 2009. During this time, Isaacson has interviewed Jobs and members of his family, as well as colleagues at Apple and some of the firm's competitors. The Detroit News quoted Jonathan Karp, publisher of Simon & Schuster, as saying that this is the “perfect match” of subject and author. “It is certain to be a landmark book about one of the world's greatest innovators," Karp said. “Just as he did with Einstein and Benjamin Franklin, Walter Isaacson is telling a unique story of revolutionary genius.”
