New iPad at $499 with Retina Display, 4G LTE, 1080p Video Recording

Apple's long-awaited iPad doesn't have a fresh name (yet), but it does pack a bunch of eye-opening – and eye-pleasing – features. Including the list of anticipated features: 4G LTE, Retina Display (at 2048x1536 resolution), and 1080p video recording. The new iPad will also include a 5MP camera with a five-element lens and a hybrid IR filter. Those who were hoping for a faster tablet will not be disappointed by the iPad's A5X quad-core processor. The 4G LTE model supports HSPA+ for up to 21Mbps; HSDPA for up to 42Mbps; and LTE for a max of 72Mbps. Impressive? It kind of is. It may be the most predicted lineup of features in Apple AAPL history, but it is exactly what the diehard iPad fans seemed to want most. The new iPad will also feature a slightly thinner and slightly lighter body than the iPad 2, and feature 10 hours of battery life (9 for the 4G model). To top it off, the new iPad will start at $499 (and go all the way up to $829 for the most high-end model), and will arrive on March 16.
