After early success in Manhattan, Amazon.com, Inc. AMZN announced that it will be expanding its Prime Now one-hour delivery service to Baltimore and Miami.

Amazon Prime members can use Prime Now to get daily essential items delivered to their doorsteps within 60 minutes using the Prime Now mobile app.

Eliminate The Daily Store Trip

Dave Clark, Amazon's senior vice president of worldwide operations, encourages Prime users to use Prime Now instead of making daily trips to the store for household items. "Since launching, we've seen high demand on everything from essentials like water and paper towels to more surprising deliveries like getting a customer a hard-to-find, top-selling toy in 23 minutes—we are excited to continue delivering to customers in record-breaking time," Clark added.

Eligible Locations

According to Amazon, Prime Now is launching today in select zip codes in Baltimore and Miami, but will soon be expanding in both locations. Prime Now is available from 8 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week in eligible zip codes.

Two-hour delivery is free for Prime members, and one-hour delivery costs $7.99. Residents of Baltimore and Miami can download the Prime Now app on their phones, and they will be notified when the delivery service becomes available in their zip codes.

Prime Benefits

Amazon already has tens of millions of Prime members worldwide. In the U.S., Prime membership benefits include unlimited free two-day shipping on eligible items, access to Prime Instant Video streaming service and unlimited photo storage on Amazon's Cloud Drive. P

rime membership costs $99 per year.
