Famed billionaire investor, philanthropist and corporate raider Carl Icahn said, a few minutes ago, that he would accept to become the Secretary of Treasury of the United States if Donald Trump wins the presidential election.
Icahn had previously said -in a letter published on his website- he was not interested in the position, which had been publicly offered by Trump on June 18. Now, the billionaire explained his change of mind, which followed last night’s debate, in a series of Tweets.
1/3 After last night’s debate I decided to accept @realDonaldTrump offer for Secretary of Treasury.

2/3 Seriously, the methods of electing our corporate and political leaders have become completely dysfunctional.

3/3 In both areas, we are in dire need of a breath of fresh air.
