The report said the company has spent seven months and $100,000 "creating candy molds that would bring its cannabis infused gummi's [sic] in compliance with the new rules effective October 1." The edibles now resemble a marijuana leaf and bear the now-required THC stamp.
"We are ahead of the curve," Americanna owner Dan Anglin told Forbes. "We did this last year and began searching to make the new molds soon as we knew what was needed."
Forbes cited the latest Report to the Joint Budget Committee from the Marijuana Enforcement Division, which stated 5.3 million individual units of retail infused-edible products were sold in 2015, up 85 percent from 2014.
