All Big Banks Cleared Stress Test Bar For Cap. Requirements

Shortly after Thursday's market close, the Federal Reserve said all 33 big banks cleared the Stress Test bar for capital requirements.

Thirty-three banks collectively had loan losses of $385 billion under a severe economic scenario, according to Dow Jones newswires.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. JPM's tier 1 leverage cap. ratio is 6.2 percent in Stress Test and 8.3 percent In common equity Stress Test. Bank Of America Corp BAC's tier 1 leverage capital ratio is 6.4 percent and 8.1 percent in common equity tier 1 capital ratio test.

The S&P 500 rallied about 20 points in the final minutes of the regular session. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust SPY closed at $210.87, up 1.4 percent and was ticking up in the after-hours session.

Meanwhile, iPath S&P 500 VIX Short Term Futures TM ETN VXX was down nearly 4 percent at $13.11 after closing down more than 9 percent in the regular session.
