Toyota's U.S. October Sales Fell 8.7% From A Year Ago

  • Sales of Toyota branded light trucks rose 6.6 percent on a DSR basis.
  • Sales of Toyota branded SUVs rose nearly 10 percent on a DSR basis.
  • Sales of the Toyota Highlander rose 32.7 percent and posted its best-ever October.
  • Sales of Toyota trucks rose 2.7 percent on a volume basis and nearly 11 percent on a DSR basis as part of a strategy to counter overall sales declines.
  • Lexus LUVs and NX model both posted their best-ever October sales.
  • Lexus LX model sales soared 162 percent.
