Dunkin' Brands Group DNKN reported a rise in its second-quarter profit.
Dunkin' posted a quarterly profit of $40.8 million, or $0.38 per share, versus a profit of $18.5 million, or $0.15 per share, in the year-ago period. Excluding one-time items, its earnings surged to $0.41 per share from $0.33 per share.
Its revenue gained 5.9% to $182.5 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.40 per share on revenue of $183 million.
Its total operating costs and expenses declined 11%.
Dunkin' shares closed at $42.00 yesterday.
