FireEye Inc. FEYE fell more than 20 percent in Tuesday's extended session after its third-quarter revenue fell short of Wall Street's expectations.
The Milpitas, Calif. computer security company posted third-quarter revenue of $114.2 million, versus analysts' expectations for $116 million. Year-earlier revenue was $42.7 million.
FIreEye's third quarter loss widened to $120 million, or $0.83 a share from a year-earlier loss of $50.9 million, or $1.61 a share, while the adjusted loss for the recent period was $0.51 cents a share
Wall Street expected an adjusted loss of $0.56 cents a share.
The company forecast a fourth-quarter adjusted loss of $0.46 to $0.50 a share, versus Wall Street's expectation of a loss of $0.56 cents a share.
For the full year, FireEye forecast a loss of $2.05 to $2.15 a share, compared with analysts' prediction of a loss of $2.13 a share.
FireEye traded recently at $26.80 a share, down 21.75 percent.
