Thursday's After-Hours Movers Led By Post-Earnings UTi Worldwide, Infoblox & VeriFone Systems

Shares of VeriFone Systems Inc PAY rose 0.68 percent on Thursday trading, ahead of the announcement of the company’s third quarter financial results. However, after the call, the stock is down roughly 5 percent in after-hours trading.

The secure electronic payment solutions provider reported earnings of $0.47 per share on revenue of $509.9 million, beating guidance and the Street’s consensus estimate of $0.46 per share and $501.19 million.

Opposite was the case for Infoblox Inc BLOX, which, after falling 0.8 percent during the regular trading session, surged 8 percent -- since the bell rang.

The small-cap tech company also beat estimates and guidance. Earnings came in at $0.12 per share, on revenue of $87 million, ahead of the Street’s consensus of $0.11 per share and $81.25 million.

Also moving on its earnings report is UTi Worldwide Inc. UTIW, which fell 4.11 percent during the day, and continued to plummet about 12 percent after the market closed, standing as the biggest loser in the Nasdaq’s Thursday after-hours trading.

The company delivered a net loss of ($0.70) per share on sales of $913.93 million, falling short of expectations, which called for a net loss of ($0.04) per share on revenue of $1.052 billion.

  • Textainer Group Holdings Limited TGH, up more than 8.7 percent
  • Vince Holding Corp VNCE, down more than 30 percent on its earnings report
