TechCrunch reports that Google GOOG is designing its “most ambitious” Android upgrade yet: Ice Cream Sandwich.
Why the silly title? Who knows. But in a world with names like Honeycomb and Sandy Bridge, Ice Cream Sandwich sounds downright normal.
The intriguing part comes from Google's goal to design an OS that runs everywhere. Reportedly, this will be the operating system that will power future tablets, convertible slates, and smartphones, and other devices.
Aside from some promising face-tracking features, not much else is known. But TechCrunch does offer an amusing look at Android's new logo.
