Walt Disney Co DIS newest "Star Wars" theme park addition, Star Wars Land, has been receiving updates to its Star Wars Launch Bay. The company recently asked for permission from the Federal Aviation Administration to use drones at both Disneyland and Disney World for entertainment purposes, including its world-famous fireworks shows.
On Thursday, Outer Places reported there have been reports from Mice Age claiming Star Wars theme park attractions may be up by 2018.
Disney's new Star Wars Land, which was announced last year at the D23 expo, is expected to take up the entire northwestern portion of the park.
Starkiller Base Replica In Abu Dhabi
Meanwhile, the latest news reported in Tech Insider reveals that Abu Dhabi is building a huge replica of Star Wars "Starkiller Base."
Tech Insider wrote that the Starkiller Base building is covered in a transparent print. It had taken Abu Dhabi nine days and more than 420 hours of combined manpower to cover the entire building in 17,000+ square meters of printing to make the building appear as a weaponized planet.

Shares of Disney opened at $94.02 on Friday's trading session. The company currently has a market capitalization of $153.92 billion and a P/E ratio of 19.75.
The Walt Disney Company recently appointed a new president to oversee Walt Disney Imagineering, the company's creative arm responsible for the design of its attractions and theme parks.
