Delta Petroleum Corp. (NASDAQ: DPTR) plummeted 38% to $2.49 on huge volume of 29.15 million shares after an independent oil and gas exploration and development company, announced initial completion results from the Gray 31-23 well in the Columbia River Basin.
Altair Nanotechnologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALTI) down 6.19% to $1.21 on unusual volume of 862K shares after it has filed a shelf registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Upon being declared effective by the SEC, the shelf registration would allow the Company to offer and sell up to $150 million of its common stock, warrants to purchase common stock and units comprised of common stock and warrants from time to time over a three year time period. The terms of any such future offerings would be established at the time of the offering.
Repros Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: RPRX) decreased $0.18 or 14% to $1.10 on huge volume of 1.95 million shares after it announced that on September 15, 2009, the Company received a second letter from The Nasdaq Stock Market advising that, in addition to the deficiencies previously disclosed on August 17, 2009, the Company’s market value of publicly held shares was below the minimum $15,000,000 requirement for continued listing on the Nasdaq Global Market by Listing Rule 5450(b)(2)(C) or 5450(b)(3)(C).
IAMGOLD Corporation (USA) (NYSE: IAG) fell 7.17% to $13.73 on very unusual volume of 2.66 million shares as Dori Segal, president and CEO of First Capital Realty Inc., bought 9,000 company shares for prices ranging from $18.77 to $19.05 between Sept. 11 and Sept. 15, 2009. This brought these holdings to 360,000 shares.
Dell Inc. (NASDAQ: DELL) plunged 5.28% to $15.81 on huge volume of 20.38 million shares after it agreed to buy Perot in a cash transaction valued at about $3.9 billion.
