Microsoft (MSFT), Wal-Mart (WMT), and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) Holding Up Well Today
Last week I wrote an article detailing how these 3 companies have been trailing the general market as of late despite being superior companies and dividend payers.
This was due to an increased appetite for risk and distaste for lower beta stocks. I also mentioned if you wanted to be invested in the market despite being very cautious about a correction these companies were a good place to be.
For the past 2 days this has proved to be the case.
Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) is up 0.2%, Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT) is up 0.1%, and Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) is unchanged today, while the general market is down about 1%.
If markets continue to deteriorate in the near future, look for these names to continue to outperform.
