Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) fell sharply 17.46% to its more than one month low $7.41 on massive volume of 58.18 million shares after  it announced Monday that it will buy business process outsourcing and data center management company Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) for $6.4 billion in cash and stock.

Fairpoint Communications, Inc. (NYSE: FRP) slipped 30% to $0.464 on 11.66 million shares after Dow Jones reported that FairPoint Communications, Inc. is in talks with its lenders about restructuring its debt, a deal which could lead to a bankruptcy filing.
