UAL Corp (LCC), US Airways (UAUA) slip in early trades on fund raising plans of holding company
Airline stocks were down early Thursday with United parent UAL Corp. (NYSE: LCC) off sharply after announcing it would issue new stock and debt. In early trades, the NYSE Arca Airline Index fell 3.3% to 27.84 points with all but one of its 13 components in the red. Shares of US Airways (NYSE: LCC) slipped 3.6% to $4.56, Continental lost 4% to $15.75 and UAL (NYSE: UAUA) fell more than 8% to $8.45.
