Securus' Secure Call Platform (SCP) Call Management System Reaches Significant Milestone

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - August 14, 2009) - Securus Technologies, Inc., a leading provider
of inmate communication services and innovative offender and case
management software design, today announced the 1,000th installation of its
SCP call management system. Installed at the Jordan, TX facility of the
Texas Department of Criminal Justice on August 4th, 2009, the system will
handle the communication requirements for all 854 Offenders housed in the
four Jordan units. The installation of the Jordan, TX group of facilities
is a portion of the larger contract to install the SCP system in all 114
facilities of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system.

Starting with its initial installation in Wood County, TX in 2005, Securus
has successfully installed its Secure Call Platform in over one third of
its customer base facilities. The platform provides inmate telephone
service to police departments, county jail and prison facilities and state
correctional facilities throughout the country.
