PlantCML(R) Delivers Next-Generation Call Processing Solution to Okaloosa County, Florida, Primary Public Safety Answering Point
TEMECULA, CA--(Marketwire - August 17, 2009) - PlantCML® has fully integrated its
next-generation call processing solution, Sentinel® Patriot®, in Okaloosa
County, Florida, in collaboration with telecommunications service provider
Embarq®. Okaloosa County previously had used a PlantCML solution in its
primary Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP).
The Sentinel Patriot call processing solution is an IP-enabled system with
highly flexible configurations to meet the needs of small- to medium-sized
call centers. It features a fully integrated PBX, differentiating it from
automatic hot redundancy of servers, and no single point of system failure.
The Sentinel Patriot solution also offers a full suite of computer
telephony features, Automatic Call Distribution (ACD), Automatic Number
Identification (ANI) and Automatic Location Identification (ALI).
"We needed a solution that would allow us to use our existing ECS-1000T
Selective Router in the Central Office (CO) and operate our remote
locations," said Silvia Womack, 9-1-1 Communications Chief for the Okaloosa
County Department of Public Safety. "We also needed a geo-diverse solution
that was NG9-1-1 capable. PlantCML delivered all that, allowing us to
continue our strong relationship."
"Okaloosa County is an important site for us," said Dave Rutan, CEO,
PlantCML. "They've been a customer since 1999 and we're pleased that the
county chose us as their sole source solution rather than going to bid. It
means we're providing the solution, service, and support that keep our
customers happy."
Okaloosa County is a progressive, mission-critical call center serving a
population of 182,172 citizens and thousands of visitors. The PSAP has
multiple two-position remotes, including Eglin Fire Department, Eglin
Security, Eglin Emergency Response, Crestview Police Department and Ft.
Walton Beach; and several one-position remotes, including Eglin Air Force
Base, Hurlburt Police Department, Hurlburt Fire Department, Niceville
Police Department and Valparaiso.
