Markets Expected To Open Lower (MEE, NVDA, TWC)

Equity markets are likely to open lower today as concerns over Greece’s debt crisis mount. S&P 500 futures were down 4.6 points, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average futures and the Nasdaq 100 futures were down 31 points and 5.75 points, respectively.

Knight Equity Markets’ managing director, Peter Kenny, said, “That (Greece) seems to be the one issue that cannot be dealt with in short order. It's part of the euro zone and the implications are enormous, it's the elephant in the room."

Some of the losers in pre-market trading include Massey Energy Company (NYSE: MEE), which is down 2.06% to $47.45, NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA), which is down 0.59% to $16.95 and Time Warner Cable Inc. (NYSE: TWC), which is down 1.83% to $51.51.
