New 52-Week High Stocks (FCX, KMB, MMM, AMP, ALXN)
Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. (NYSE: FCX) touched a new 52-week high at $82.96 in today’s morning trade. Currently the stock is trading at $82.73, up 3.78% on 8.38 million shares. Today, it was upped to buy from hold by Deutsche Bank which lifted its price target to $100 from $72.
Kimberly-Clark Corporation (NYSE: KMB) soared 6.17% to $63.37. Today the stock made a new 52-week at $63.57. Today, Kimberly-Clark Corporation raised its fiscal 2009 guidance and expects net sales decline of about 2% versus previous guidance for a decline of 4% to 6% and earnings per share (EPS) will be in a range of $4.50 to $4.60 per share, up significantly from previous estimate of $4.10 to $4.25. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts are expecting the Company to report EPS of $4.19 on revenue of $18.8 billion for the same period.
3M Company (NYSE: MMM) was another stock which made a new 52 week high of $78.75 and now trades at $78.54, increased 2.90% after 3M ups guidance and beats Wall Street estimates.
Ameriprise Financial, Inc. (NYSE: AMP) today broken its previous 52-week high and made a new high at $38.29 and now up 6.93% and trades at $37.95 with a total volume of 2.72 million shares after it swung to a third-quarter profit of $260 million, or $1 a share. The financial services provider lost $70 million, or 32 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue rose 20% to $2 billion. Analysts had forecast Ameriprise to earn 64 cents a share.
Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALXN) today moved up 7% to $47.22 with over 1.47 million shares changed hand .The stock made a new 52-week high of $47.61.
