Barron’s Picks The Best Of Putnam Voyager Fund: Qualcomm (QCOM), Aflac (AFL) and DirecTV (DTV)

Qualcomm, Inc. (NASDAQ: QCOM), Aflac Inc (NYSE: AFL) and DirecTV (NASDAQ: DTV) are the best picks, according to Putnam Voyager Fund.

The rationale offered is that Qualcomm is expected to report a 30% and above earning-growth for the next couple of years. Aflac has grown operating earnings per share consistently for many years and now sells at a half of its historical P/E. DirecTV is a potentially valuable asset to Verizon (NYSE: VZ) and AT&T (NYSE: T), which could lead to a substantial premium if the deal to acquire it goes through.
