Bob Doll And Curtis Arledge of Blackrock Discuss Markets on CNBC (IBM, UNH, APC)
This morning on CNBC's "Squawk Box" Blackrock representatives Bob Doll and Curtis Arledge spoke about the firms' view of the overall markets and three individual stock picks.
Overall Blackrock is positive on the markets and feels we are in the beginning stages of a moderate/slow recovery. Doll and Arledge feel the equity markets, although not overly cheap, are priced to return 6%-8% per year from current levels.
The also prefer "risky assets" (equities, corporate fixed-income, etc) over cash and treasuries, but at the same time emphasize quality.
Doll and Arledge also gave 3 specific stock picks in their 3 favorite sectors; energy, health care, and technology.
In energy Blackrock likes Anadarko Petroleum (NYSE: APC), in healthcare they like United Healthcare (NYSE: UNH), and in technology they would buy IBM (NYSE: IBM).
