Chile's Latam Airlines Group SA (NYSE:
LFL) reported a rise in its second-quarter net profit.
Latam Airlines' quarterly net profit climbed to $49.7 million, versus $15.9 million, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of $11.7 million.
Its revenue climbed to $1.6 billion, from $1.3 billion. Its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization and rent costs dropped 6% y/y to $188.3 million.
Latam Airlines shares fell 0.59% to close at $23.58 on Friday.
