Optical Cable Corporation (Nasdaq GM: OCCF) announced financial results for its fiscal third quarter and the nine months ended July 31, 2009. Optical Cable Corporation (OCCF) is a leading manufacturer of a broad range of fiber optic and copper data communications cabling and connectivity solutions primarily for the enterprise market. Net sales for the third quarter of fiscal 2009 decreased 13.4% to $14.2M from $16.4 last year. The decline in net sales is primarily attributable to the global economic recession and that OCC’s competitors have generally suffered more severe revenue declines on a percentage basis, based on publicly available information.
