Broadcom (BRCM) Introduces New GPON Solutions to Complement its Broadband Carrier Access Portfolio

Broadcom Corporation (Nasdaq: BRCM), a global leader in semiconductors for wired and wireless communications introduced its first product that offers Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) market with a scalable family of products spanning from gigabit bridges to fully integrated access device (IAD) capabilities. Broadcom's new GPON solutions enable high definition (HD) video, VoIP, high-speed internet (HSI), gaming, and higher bandwidth provisional services such as video-on-demand (VoD) and rapid download of IP video content.
