Broadcom's (BRCM) Announces New International Cable Set-Top Box

Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ: BRCM), a global leader in semiconductors for wired and wireless communications, announced new single-chip, multi-format high definition set-top box (STB) system-on-a-chip (SoC) solutions that enable manufacturers to develop advanced, high performance and cost effective HD STBs for worldwide deployments. They are DOCSIS(R) 2.0/EuroDOCSIS(TM) 2.0 (Euro/DOCSIS 2.0) compatible. This will enable cable service providers to offer the latest in interactive HDTV programming, connectivity and advanced user interface applications to their subscribers.
