Elon Musk has officially unveiled a rebranding of Twitter's website and app, now known as "X." The familiar blue bird logo that millions globally recognize has been replaced with a new logo and landing page. The change comes amid Musk’s plans to transform Twitter from a social-media app to a “super app.”

The billionaire founder of Tesla has even stated that X could become a huge player in the financial space, accounting for 50% of the global financial system, according to Musk. The change from Twitter to X is the latest in a series of changes that Musk has implemented. 

However, many of these transformations have adversely impacted Twitter's bottom line, failing to enhance value for its investors. Changes to Twitter's content moderation policy led to numerous advertisers terminating their contracts or declining to renew them. Musk himself admitted that Twitter’s revenue is down about 50% from where it was before he bought the company.

Even the process of transitioning to "X" revealed some of the disorder within the company previously recognized as Twitter. Musk had tweeted that if someone posted a "good enough X," the rebranding would be implemented that very night. The company was prepared to alter its entire name and URL, yet it didn't have a finalized logo.

Not everyone has been impressed with X’s rebranding. Some people have compared it to when Sears Tower became Willis Tower, but most people continued to call it Sears.
