According to The New York Times, a large number of Americans have been moving to China for employment, attracted by its faster growing economy and lower jobless rates.

These cross-cultural partnerships, while helpful in many ways, are also highlighting tensions that show differences in work experience, pay levels and communication. Managers hiring workers in China tend to pay a premium for Western experience. Some of the well-known U.S. companies that operate in China include Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F), Apple Inc.
