Tempus AI Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TEM#NASDAQ">TEM</a>), an artificial intelligence-powered precision medicine solutions provider, which was listed on exchanges in June 2024 has seen major funds investing in the company during the fourth quarter of the year.
What Happened: Tempus AI provides a two-pronged approach to healthcare. The first is an AI-driven precision medicine for personalized patient care, and the second one is a parallel engine for discovering, developing, and delivering optimal therapeutics.

ON Semiconductor Corp. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ON#NASDAQ">ON</a>) <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/02/43592322/on-semiconductor-q4-earnings-q4-revenue-drops-15-weak-demand-in-auto-and-industrial-sectors-lower-utilization-hits-margins-ceo-warns-of-continued-challenges-in-2025">missed</a> street expectations in the fourth quarter, predicting a sluggish first quarter for its automotive segment as its shares tumbled over 8% after the earnings report on Monday.
What Happened: Lower global automotive demand combined with slower-than-expected adoption of electric vehicles impacted the fourth-quarter results of the semiconductor company that supplies custom devices for automotive players.
According to its president and CEO, &#8220;Entering the first quarter, we expect persisting volatility due to the geopolitical uncertainty across all geographies as our customer assess their manufacturing footprints and the impact of tariffs,&#8221; said Hassane El-Khoury during its earnings call.
The management said that the company will be monitoring the demand signals of EV adoption, given the uncertainty around &#8220;EV tax credits and slowing infrastructure deployment.&#8221;
While the 8% sequential growth in the fourth quarter was driven by China, the company expects it to decline by 25% or more in the first quarter owing to the early Chinese New Year in the month of January.
The company is working on its &#8216;Fab Right&#8217; strategy and reducing its operating expenditures via potential site closures, headcount reductions, and portfolio rationalization.
&#8220;The structural changes we plan on making will position us to react quickly and favorably to changing market conditions,&#8221; said company CFO Thad Trent.
The management expects a &#8220;meaningful impact&#8221; of opex reduction in the second quarter, and gross margin improvements by late in 2025.

For the full year 2024, the revenue came in at $7.1 billion with a non-GAAP gross margin of 45.5% and a free cash flow of $1.2 billion.
In the first quarter, ON expects revenue in the range of $1.35-$1.45 billion and non-GAAP gross margin within 39-41%, with non-GAAP EPS at $0.45-$0.55.
&#8220;We believe electrification, AI data center and renewable energy are still the major growth drivers for our industry over the next decade, and we remain confident our technology and innovations in these markets will allow us to capitalize on those trends,&#8221; added CFO Trent.
Price Action: The shares fell by 8.21% to $47.04 apiece on Monday and slid by 0.09% in after-hours, whereas the exchange-traded fun tracking Nasdaq Composite index, Fidelity NASDAQ Composite Index ETF (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ONEQ#NASDAQ">ONEQ</a>) rose 0.92%.
ON shares have plunged 23.77% on a year-to-date basis, whereas it was down by 41.87% over the last one year.
The average price target among 30 <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/ON/analyst-ratings">analysts tracked by Benzinga</a> is $81.43 with a ‘hold' rating. The estimates range from $52 to $110 apiece. Recent ratings from Needham, Jefferies, and Rosenblatt suggest a $72.33 target, implying a potential upside of 53.90%.

The <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/24/12/42678368/sp-500-hits-57-all-time-highs-in-record-breaking-2024-magnificent-7-drive-30-of-nasdaqs-surge">S&amp;P 500</a> has hit 57 all-time highs in 2024, the fifth highest of any year in history. Dow has hit a record eight 1,000-point milestones and the &#8220;Magnificent 7&#8221; stocks have driven a 30% surge in the Nasdaq Composite index.
But what are the significant factors that will be shaping 2025? Here&#8217;s what analysts and industry players are forecasting.
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Earnings Projections And Analyst Targets</h3>
Analysts are predicting a strong year for the market in 2025, driven by robust earnings growth and a favorable economic environment.
Louis Navellier, chief investment officer at Navellier &amp; Associates, anticipates continued momentum, with earnings projected to "reaccelerate from 8.4% on the S&amp;P 500 in Q3 to an estimated 12% in Q4. Q1 and Q2 also look strong and will be up over 10%."
Yogesh Kansal, co-founder and chief business officer at Appreciate, identified a "trinity of market forces" that will propel the market: 14% corporate profit growth, pro-growth policies under the incoming Trump administration, and the continued AI boom.
Analysts are also bullish on the S&amp;P 500, with a median 2025 price target of 6,600, representing an 11% increase.
However, Julia Khandoshko, CEO of the broker Mind Money, cautioned that the index may not sustain its previous growth rate. "Next year is likely to be a time for strong investment ideas, especially in small and medium-cap segments," she said. "Overall market growth is quite possible, but a 20% increase in the S&amp;P 500 looks unlikely."
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">High Valuations Raise Concerns?</h3>
Some analysts are expressing concerns about high valuations in the U.S. equity market.
Mario Georgiou, executive director and head of investments at InCred Global Wealth, noted that &#8220;optimistic analyst targets, stretched positioning and high valuations leave the market vulnerable to larger pullbacks in our view, should we see any of the rosy projections falling short of lofty expectations.&#8221;
&#8220;I think all investors agree that valuations are high and fully priced (Trailing P/E of 24+), leaving little room for positive equity returns to come from multiple expansions.&#8221;
However, Kansal attributed high valuations to improved corporate profitability. &#8220;Stock valuations are at their highest levels in more than three years, leaving greater potential for turbulence,&#8221; Kansal said. &#8220;However, the valuations have gone up because corporate America's profitability has greatly improved, with more than a third of companies posting margins of above 60%.&#8221;

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Fed&#8217;s Stance</h3>
The Federal Reserve&#8217;s recent shift in monetary policy has sparked debate among analysts. While the Fed&#8217;s dot plot projects two more 25-basis-point cuts in the next year, falling short of market expectations, Navellier predicts four cuts. &#8220;The Fed can only look so far,&#8221; Navellier said.
&#8220;As soon as the ECB cuts key interest rates… Treasury yields will fall and allow the Fed to cut another two times in late 2025.&#8221;
Khandoshko emphasized the importance of trusting the regulator&#8217;s actions, acknowledging a less aggressive rate-cut path compared to previous expectations.
Georgiou anticipates a different scenario. &#8220;We see fed funds rate staying above 4%, with longer end rates rising further… mainly due to rising inflation driven by the effects of President-elect Donald Trump's policies.&#8221;
He warned of the risk of &#8220;sticky inflation&#8221; and a repeat of the 1970s, potentially forcing the Fed to halt or even reverse rate cuts.
Kansal believes the shift could have a stabilizing effect on the market. &#8220;While there may be some short-term volatility… the longer-term effect could be a more stable market with a continued focus on earnings growth and sector performance rather than reliance on monetary easing.&#8221;
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Top Sectors To Watch In 2025</h3>
While artificial intelligence and big tech-dominated 2024, analysts are looking to other sectors for potential gains in the coming year.
Georgiou favors energy, citing &#8220;Undemanding valuations, shareholder friendliness (buybacks and dividend yields).&#8221; He added that the sector would be &#8220;most immune to tariffs given low imports subject to tariffs.&#8221;
Khandoshko emphasized the importance of pharmaceuticals and artificial intelligence, stating, &#8220;The market is likely to become a platform for major trends, where success will depend on the choice of industries rather than individual stocks.&#8221;
Kansal highlighted financials, materials, and consumer cyclicals. &#8220;Financials due to reduced regulation and lower capital requirements,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Materials, particularly those related to energy and infrastructure, could see a rebound if global economic activity accelerates. Consumer cyclicals should perform well if the U.S. economy maintains its momentum.&#8221;
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Key Indices in 2024</h3>
While the S&amp;P 500 index was up 27.30% on a year-to-date basis as of Dec. 26 close, the SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPY#NYSE">SPY</a>) has gained 27.23% in the same period.
Dow Jones Industrial Average and the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DIA#NYSE">DIA</a>) were up 14.88% year-to-date as of the Dec. 26 close.
The Nasdaq 100 index which includes all the &#8220;Magnificent 7&#8221; stocks, unlike Dow, rose 31.58% year-to-date as Dec. 26 close. Whereas, the Invesco QQQ Trust (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/QQQ#NASDAQ">QQQ</a>) rose by 31.55% in 2024.

S&P 500 Scaled A Record 57 All-Time Highs In 2024: Here's What Analysts Think Is In Store This Year

The year of milestones, 2024, has seen an unperturbed rise in the current bull market, which is nearly <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/12/42430296/carson-researchs-50-year-study-suggests-that-the-26-months-old-bull-market-is-far-from-over">26 months</a> old. It is higher by more than 70% from the mid-October 2022 lows. As we wrap up the year with the possibility of a &#8216;Santa Rally,&#8217; let&#8217;s recap 2024&#8217;s landmark junctures.
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Major U.S. Benchmarks Scale Fresh Records</h3>
The S&amp;P 500 Index has made 57 new all-time highs this year, hitting the last one on Dec. 6, 2024. Also, &#8220;2024 would go down as the best election year return ever,&#8221; said Ryan Detrick, the chief market strategist at Carson Research in a note.
&#8220;Going back 50 years, we found five other bull markets that had lasted at least this long and the shortest any of them lasted was five total years. Think of it like a cruise ship — once it gets moving, it can be quite hard to stop,&#8221; added Detrick
While the S&amp;P 500 index was up 25.96% on a year-to-date basis as of Dec. 23 close, the SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPY#NYSE">SPY</a>) rose by 25.82% in the same period.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average index, on the other hand, hit a record eight 1,000-point milestones this year. It started the year around the 37,000 level and breached the 45,000 level at the beginning of December. It took only seven trading days for the index to go from 44,000 to 45,000, the second fastest 1,000-point milestone ever. Following that the index also saw one of its longest 10-day losing streak, the first ever since 1974.
Dow was up 13.77% year-to-date as of the Dec. 23 close, whereas the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DIA#NYSE">DIA</a>) gained 13.74% in the same period.
The Nasdaq 100 index which includes all the &#8216;magnificent seven&#8217; stocks, unlike Dow, rose 29.98% year-to-date as Dec. 23 close. The ETF tracking the index, Fidelity NASDAQ Composite Index ETF (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ONEQ#NASDAQ">ONEQ</a>) rose by 33.85% in the same period. Whereas, the Invesco QQQ Trust, Series 1 (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/QQQ#NASDAQ">QQQ</a>) rose by 29.88% in 2024.
The smallcap index Russell 2000 was up 11.16% over the year, while iShares Russell 2000 ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/IWM#NYSE">IWM</a>) was up 10.97% in the same period as of the Dec. 23 close.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">U.S. Market Trumps The World</h3>
Among the developed economies, the S&amp;P 500 remains the best index with a 25.96% gain on a year-to-date basis, outperforming all the other developed market indices.
While the <a href="https://x.com/RyanDetrick/status/1871317802306707882">first </a>year of a new president&#8217;s term has usually been strong since 1897, the returns during year one of a second term haven&#8217;t been very good overall, said Detrick.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Communication, Consumer Discretionary, And Technology Lead Gains In 2024</h3>
Tracking the exchange-traded funds that track the major sectors in the U.S. market, communication services emerged as the top sector for the year, followed by consumer discretionary and technology. The information technology sector has the highest weight of 31.3% in the S&amp;P 500, followed by financials a t13.9%.
BlackRock said that they see technology companies&#8217; earnings performing well in 2025. &#8220;We are overweight as the AI theme and earnings growth broaden. Valuations for AI beneficiaries are supported by tech companies delivering on earnings.&#8221;

Among the defensive sectors, utilities emerged as a winner, whereas energy was an underperformer. Consumer staples, energy, and utilities take up 5.7%, 3.4%, and 2.5% weight, respectively in the S&amp;P 500 index.
As per Morgan Stanley, the energy sector faces a divided future. Trump's deregulation could benefit traditional energy, but the outlook for oil is uncertain due to potential oversupply and weak global demand, especially from China. In contrast, natural gas may see growth from strong European demand and increased domestic use for electrification and AI-powered data centers. The clean energy sector could face challenges, if Trump rollbacks Biden's 2022 Inflation Reduction Act tax credits. However, a full repeal seems unlikely due to the benefits for Republican states.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">U.S. Dollar Surges Over 6% In 2024</h3>
The Dollar index was up 6.72% year-to-date with a 52-week range of 100.1570 to 108.5410 per unit. If the Greenback can hold on to these gains, the currency would leave behind the second-best year since 2015.
The UDS&#8217;s demand has been rising due to the &#8220;Uncertainties arising from expected Trump's policies and hawkish comments from the Fed towards rate cycle,&#8221; said Kunal Sodhani, vice president of the global trading center at Shinhan Bank.
According to Franklin Templeton, &#8220;The Fed easing cycle will be a dominant factor for the USD. The two main comparisons we draw against the Fed cyclically, interest-rate-wise, are emerging markets, and Japan.&#8221;
WisdomTree Bloomberg US Dollar Bullish Fund (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/USDU#NYSE">USDU</a>) was up 13.24% on a year-to-date basis, as of Dec. 23 close, where as Invesco DB US Dollar Index Bullish Fund (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/UUP#NYSE">UUP</a>) advanced by 7.21% in the same period.

Outperforming Competition:&nbsp;Super Micro&#8217;s stock has risen a staggering 183% year-to-date, significantly outperforming both Nvidia&#8217;s 46.6% gain and the&nbsp;Philadelphia Semiconductor Index&#8216;s&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SOXX#NASDAQ">SOXX</a>) 8.5% gain. Interestingly, since 2023, Super Micro has even surpassed Nvidia&#8217;s growth by a margin of 482%.
Super Micro&#8217;s shares surpassed the $1,000 mark on Thursday but retreated the following day. The stock closed Friday&#8217;s session at $803.32, marking a 19.99% decline. The pullback followed cautious remarks from Wells Fargo&#8217;s semiconductor analyst, who initiated coverage with an &#8220;Equal-Weight&#8221; rating on the belief the stock already reflects the company&#8217;s impressive earnings potential.

Since the start of 2023, Super Micro has outperformed the AI biggies by a mile. Nvidia has appreciated 397% since the start of 2023 compared to a steeper 879% gain for Super Micro.

Thanks to the stellar rally since 2023, Super Micro graduated to being a large-cap (which by definition is over $10 billion in market-cap) in the middle of 2023.

Last week, BofA Securities analyst Ruplu Bhattacharya initiated coverage of Super Micro Computer with a Buy rating and a price target of $1,040. The company is growing its backlog and expanding its capacity to support strong revenue growth, with 50% of revenue now &#8220;tied to accelerators like GPUs,&#8221; he said.
The analyst expects the AI server market to grow at a 50% compounded annual growth rate over the next three years, a marked acceleration from the average overall server market growth of 5.5% over the past 17 years. <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/24/02/37162949/why-this-super-micro-computer-analyst-is-bullish-revenues-could-grow-even-faster">Super Micro&#8217;s revenue could outgrow the overall market, </a>he added.
Fund manager Louis Navellier said, &#8220;Super Micro Computer (SMCI) is actually beating Nvidia this year in the wake of its outstanding results and guidance.&nbsp; So&nbsp;money is on the move and it is headed to more small and mid-capitalization companies that are prospering from explosive sales and earnings growth.&#8221;&nbsp;&nbsp;
There could be incremental upside for these companies, as about $8.8 trillion in cash is waiting on the sidelines, he said.
Returns From $1,000 Investment: Super Micro went public in March 2007 by selling 8 million shares at $8 per share. The stock opened the debut session at $8.85 and traded in a range of $8.66-$9.31 before settling at $8.76.
A $1,000 investment in Super Micro IPO would have fetched 125 shares in 2007 and the same shares are now worth $100,415. This translates to a return of 9,942%. In comparison, an investment of the same magnitude in the Fidelity Nasdaq Composite Index ETF (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ONEQ#NASDAQ">ONEQ</a>), an exchange-traded fund tracking the Nasdaq Composite Index would have fetched returns of 667%.

Technology stocks are likely to have a high probability of rallying in the just-started month of October and then extending their positive performance into the fourth <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets">quarter of the year.</a>
This optimistic outlook is substantiated by a study conducted by Datatrek Research, which analyzed the historical returns of the S&amp;P 500 and Nasdaq Composite indices.
The analysis hinges on the &#8220;Strong January Return Indicator,&#8221; a metric designed to forecast the performance of major U.S. stock indices in years when January exhibits substantially positive gains.

On Wall Street, an age-old adage states, &#8220;So goes January, so goes the year,&#8221; and the year 2023 perfectly aligns with this adage.
In January 2023, the S&amp;P 500 index, tracked by the SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPY#NYSE">SPY</a>), surged by an impressive 6.2%, while the Nasdaq Composite, represented by the Fidelity Nasdaq Composite Index ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ONEQ#NYSE">ONEQ</a>), experienced an even more remarkable gain of 10.6%.

Excluding 2023, there have been only eight instances where the S&amp;P 500 and Nasdaq saw returns that surpassed their January averages by more than one standard deviation, with the S&amp;P 500 gaining over 5% and the Nasdaq over 8.5%.
In these years, Datatrek has identified a recurring seasonal pattern. The two primary indices tend to show above-average returns for the whole. Both post average positive returns in each quarter of the year, except for the Nasdaq in the Q3.

As we enter October in a Strong January year, the S&amp;P 500 has roughly equal odds of advancing this month, while the Nasdaq boasts a significantly higher likelihood (83%) of doing so. 
Historically, the S&amp;P has, on average, dipped by 2.8% in October during &#8216;Strong January&#8217; years, whereas the Nasdaq has shown a gain of 0.8%.
Excluding the outlier of October 1987, characterized by the Stock Market Crash of 1987, the S&amp;P&#8217;s decline has been minimal at just 0.1%, while the Nasdaq has recorded an average increase of 6.4% during &#8220;Strong January&#8221; years.
Both the S&amp;P 500 and Nasdaq typically exhibit strong performance in the fourth quarter of &#8220;Strong January&#8221; years. The S&amp;P experienced gains in the fourth quarter during 6 out of 8 years, with an average increase of 1.2%.
Excluding two outliers such as 1987 and 2018, the S&amp;P achieved an average gain of 7.7%. The Nasdaq displayed even more promising results, with gains in the fourth quarter during 5 out of 6 years, averaging an impressive 15.3%. When excluding the outlier of the fourth quarter of 1987, the Nasdaq&#8217;s average gain reached an impressive 23.5%.

How The 'January Effect' Could Spark Tech Stock Renaissance In October, Q4

The SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSEARCA: SPY) increased by 5.56% in November, recording two subsequent monthly increases for the first time in 2022. The Fidelity NASDAQ Composite Index ETF (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/oneq#NASDAQ">ONEQ</a>) and the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJA) ETF (NYSEARCA: DIA) mirrored this upward trend, showing monthly increases in October of 4.43% and 5.72%, respectively.&nbsp;
On November 2nd, the Federal Reserve hiked its key interest rate by 75 basis points, a figure congruent with expectations. The market dropped 2.51% on the day the news was released but closed roughly 6% higher than the day&rsquo;s close at the end of the month. While the Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell has not yet decreed a slow-down in interest rate hikes, Powell said a rate-hike slowdown is possible in December. The comment, issued on Nov. 30, caused the SPDR S&amp;P500 ETF Trust to rise by 3.15%.&nbsp;
In the meantime, OTC Markets Group Inc.&rsquo;s (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/otcm#OTCQX">OTCM</a>) markets maintained the total monthly volume from last month, recording $36.3 million in November. The regulated markets also saw a number of new entrants in both the OTCQX Best Market and OTCQB Venture Market.

Reflecting the expected conditions of a bear market, many of the world&rsquo;s indices saw a decrease in price throughout June.

Despite the decline in market indices and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), OTC Markets Group Inc.&rsquo;s (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/otcm#OTCQX">OTCM</a>) regulated markets experienced a slight increase in total monthly dollar volume, recording $45.2 billion in June compared to $44.5 billion in May. Additionally, the operator saw former cryptocurrency and mortgage financiers return to the helm of the Most Actively Traded Securities list on two of its regulated markets.&nbsp;
Both the OTCQX Best Market and the OTCQB Venture Market maintained a significant international presence, with over half of the top most-traded securities across both markets composed of international operators.

The OTCQB Venture Market recorded $603 million in trading volume in June, a decline from May&rsquo;s $896 million figure.
June introduced two new entities to the OTCQB&rsquo;s Top 10 Most-Traded Securities list. Biotech operator CytoDyn Inc. The OTC Markets' Most Active Securities Welcomes New Names And Experiences A Reshuffle In April

Trading volume appears to be moving back to OTC Markets&nbsp; following <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/penny-stocks/22/03/26137786/the-otcqxs-top-10-experience-a-shuffle-in-february">a slight slump</a> in February.
A look at March&rsquo;s&nbsp; volumes across the markets operated by OTC Markets Group Inc. (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/otcm#OTCQX">OTCM</a>) shows a total monthly total dollar volume of $57.4 billion, up from $44 billion in February.
This rise in volume comes alongside a slight relaxation in the bear runs that encompassed January and February across a variety of markets. The SPDR S&amp;P 500 Exchange Traded Fund (NYSE Arca: SPY), for example, experienced its first monthly increase in 2022, rising 3.44% in March. The SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF (NYSE Arca: DIA) and the Fidelity Nasdaq Composite Index ETF (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/oneq#NASDAQ">ONEQ</a>) experienced similar rises, increasing 2.21% and 3.5%, respectively, in March.
As the market provides a slight psychological breather following <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/kristinmckenna/2022/03/14/its-been-one-of-the-top-5-worst-starts-to-a-year-for-stocks-and-bonds/?sh=37e61c8c6fca">one of the worst starts</a> in history for stocks, the OTCQX and OTCQB&rsquo;s 10 most-active securities may provide traders and investors with yet another talking point for March&rsquo;s movements.
<h3>The OTCQX Best Market: Volume Spikes And Reshuffling</h3>
The OTCQX Best Market recorded a total of $12.4 billion in trading volume in March.&nbsp;
Volume spikes across a variety of securities were likely pivotal in this increase over February&rsquo;s volume figure. Eight of the OTCQX&rsquo;s top 30 most-active securities experienced volume changes over 100% compared to February.
Notably, BNP Paribas S.A.&rsquo;s (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/bnpqy#OTCQX">BNPQY</a>) volume jumped 225%; Adidas AG&rsquo;s (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/addyy#OTCQX">ADDYY</a>),141%; Danone SA&rsquo;s (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/danoy#OTCQX">DANOY</a>), 267%; and Zurich Insurance Group AG Ltd.&rsquo;s (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/zurvy#OTCQX">ZURVY</a>), 379%;&nbsp;
Meanwhile, the top three securities &mdash; Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/gbtc#OTCQX">GBTC</a>), Grayscale Ethereum Trust (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ethe#OTCQX">ETHE</a>) and Roche Holdings AG (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/rhhby#OTCQX">RHHBY</a>) &mdash; retained their spots as first, second, and third-most traded securities on OTCQX. The first two experienced slight reductions in trading volume, while the third experienced an 80% increase compared to March.&nbsp;
International operators, once again, maintain a strong presence on OTCQX. France&rsquo;s Danone, Switzerland&rsquo;s Zurich Insurance Group, and Germany&rsquo;s BASF SE displace February&rsquo;s top 10 most active securities Trulieve Cannabis Corp. (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/tcnnf#OTCQX">TCNNF</a>), Experian plc (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/expgy#OTCQX">EXPGY</a>), and Tesco PLC (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/tscdy#OTCQX">TSCDY</a>), moving them down to the 13th, 16th and 18th&nbsp; spots respectively.&nbsp;&nbsp;
<h3>The OTCQB Venture Market: Sustained International Interest</h3>
The OTCQB Venture Market recorded a total $1.2 billion dollar volume in February, an increase over February&rsquo;s total of $807 million.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The presence of international operators on the OTCQB Best Market was slightly reduced in February, with 13 internationals landing a spot among the top 30 most-traded securities in March, down from 16 in February. Of these 13 securities, eight are Canadian, four are Australian and one is English.&nbsp;
The top 10 most-active securities on the OTCQB experienced a slight reshuffle. American Battery Technology Co. (OTCQB: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/abml#OTCQB">ABML</a>) extends last month&rsquo;s volume increase, rising from fifth place in February to fourth place in March. Lithium producer Lake Resources N.L. (OTCQB: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/llkkf#OTCQB">LLKKF</a>) makes a rise to the top 10 most-active securities, displacing long-runner Freddie Mac (OTCQB: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/fmcc#OTCQB">FMCC</a>).&nbsp;
