It was awarded a total of five lots (1,000 kgs) and was the only licensed producer in&nbsp;Germany&nbsp;with permission to grow all three strains of medical cannabis approved by the BfArM.</p>

A key reason is the Bitcoin halving and its impact on mining and cost. However, I believe that this factor is discounted in BITF stock and a big rally is impending.</p>



<p>It&rsquo;s worth noting that there are chances of Donald Trump <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/news/4124129-bitcoin-hits-2-week-high-on-trump-re-election-chances">being re-elected</a>. In this scenario, I expect Bitcoin to trade above $100,000 and BITF can surge 3x to 5x in quick time.</p>



<p>Besides this factor, Bitfarms has undertaken aggressive expansion plans. The Bitcoin miner reported a hash rate capacity of 10.4EH/s in Q1 2024. The company is <a href="https://d1io3yog0oux5.cloudfront.net/_3941cd35952dcc1e3851715e17e8f4a0/bitfarms/db/862/8448/pdf/BITF+Investor+Presentation+July+2024+.pdf">aiming to boost capacity</a> to 21EH/s by the end of the year and further to 35EH/s by 2025.</p>



<p>With a zero-debt balance sheet and a strong liquidity buffer, I don&rsquo;t see any financing concerns. Therefore, as capacity expansion is undertaken, revenue and EBITDA growth is likely to be robust.</p>



<h2>EHang (EH)</h2>

In the last month, <strong>Archer Aviation</strong> (NYSE:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/achr-stock-quote/"><strong>ACHR</strong></a></span>) and <strong>Joby Aviation</strong> (NYSE:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/joby-stock-quote/"><strong>JOBY</strong></a></span>) has surged by 58% and 40% respectively. I expect a bigger rally for these eVTOL stocks in the coming quarters.</p>



<p>However, another interesting name is <strong>EHang </strong>(NASDAQ:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/eh-stock-quote/"><strong>EH</strong></a></span>) and the stock has declined by nearly 30% in the last 12 months. Backed by positive business developments, I expect a big rally from current levels of $14.6.</p>



<p>In April, EHang had received approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China for <a href="https://ir.ehang.com/news-releases/news-release-details/ehang-secures-production-certificate-caac-clearing-path-mass">mass production</a> of its EH216-S eVTOL. This has paved the way for scaling-up operations and the company&rsquo;s order backlog has been swelling.</p>



<p>Further, EHang has been pursuing aggressive global expansion plans. The company has already <a href="https://ir.ehang.com/news-releases/news-release-details/ehang-reports-first-quarter-2024-unaudited-financial-results">conducted demo flights</a> in Japan, Spain, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Costa Rica. Recently, EHang <a href="https://ir.ehang.com/news-releases/news-release-details/ehang-and-china-southern-airlines-general-aviation-forge">partnered</a> with Southern Airlines General Aviation to boost the low-altitude economy in China. With all these positive developments, stellar revenue growth is in the cards. It&rsquo;s therefore a matter of time before EH stock skyrockets.</p>



<h2>Tilray Brands (TLRY)</h2>

Even if we look at the 12-month period, the returns are the same. A big breakout rally seems to be on the cards for this undervalued cannabis stock.</p>



<p>One catalyst for Tilray Brands is the possible reclassification of cannabis as a Schedule III drug in the U.S. If this happens, I expect TLRY stock to double in a few weeks. It&rsquo;s worth noting that the company <a href="https://ir.tilray.com/news-releases/news-release-details/tilray-brands-announces-market-program-fund-strategic-and">raised $250 million</a> through an at-the-market offering. The objective of this fundraiser is to expand in the U.S. (organic and acquisitions) once cannabis is reclassified.</p>



<p>Even if we leave this aside, TLRY stock looks undervalued. In Q3 2024, Tilray reported healthy growth in the cannabis segment. This was driven by the international medicinal cannabis business. With Q4 results due at the end of the month, I am bullish on strong numbers taking TLRY stock higher.</p>

While Canada made headway in legalizing the much-maligned plant, in the U.S., lawmakers have staunchly resisted calls for greenlighting marijuana at the federal level. However, the Biden administration&rsquo;s recent proposal to <a href="https://investorplace.com/2024/04/cannabis-stocks-surge-as-biden-moves-to-reclassify-marijuana-asap/">classify cannabis as a lower enforcement category</a> could lift sentiment.</p>



<p>To be clear, reclassification does not equate to federal legalization. That issue still remains thorny, especially among certain political circles. However, it&rsquo;s possible that in a tight presidential race, Republican candidate Donald Trump and his fellow conservatives may need to relax their draconian stance. Certainly, they wouldn&rsquo;t want a plant to disrupt their momentum.</p>



<p>Plus, even with President Joe Biden performing rather poorly, the ideological divide is a robust one. It&rsquo;s unlikely that a bad debate performance is going to suddenly change voting behaviors or intentions. So, a second Biden term wouldn&rsquo;t be impossible. And that would be great for the below cannabis stocks.</p>



<h2>Scotts Miracle-Gro (SMG)</h2>

I&rsquo;d go so far as to say that Scotts would prefer consumers not mention that term. Technically speaking, the company falls under the<a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/SMG/profile/"> agricultural inputs industry</a>. With its subsidiaries, Scotts manufactures, markets and sells products for law, garden care and indoor and hydroponic gardening solutions.</p>



<p>But who are we kidding? Invariably, with the rise of a particular blend of botanical pursuits, Scotts will likely enjoy downwind benefits. It&rsquo;s not just a statement of narratives but rather, one can see the results on the financials. Okay, the company suffered a bad miss in the second quarter of last year. However, in the trailing year since Q1, its average earnings per share reached 16 cents. That&rsquo;s above the collective consensus view of 11 cents.</p>



<p>Analysts believe that for fiscal 2024, EPS may rise over 113% to $2.58. On the top line, sales may reach $3.56 billion, which is a modest increase from last year. However, fiscal 2025 revenue could rise to $3.64 billion, up 2.3%.</p>



<p>It&rsquo;s not exciting but it&rsquo;s one of the dependable cannabis stocks.</p>



<h2>Canopy Growth (CGC)</h2>

It serves both the recreational and medical purpose markets. While exciting, CGC stock has been all over the map this year.</p>



<p>Because the Biden administration&rsquo;s reclassification proposal dramatically shifted sentiment, it&rsquo;s difficult to extract meaningful insights from its financials. Since its inception, Canopy has long struggled to generate profits. In the trailing 12 months (TTM), the company posted a net loss of $483.68 million. However, sales hit $297.15 million and this has been a steadily improving metric.</p>



<p>Therefore, I&rsquo;m not sure that sales will drop 10.4% to $225.24 million by year&rsquo;s end like experts are predicting. Rather, the high-side estimate of $258.37 million would seem more plausible. Either way, in the following year, the most optimistic target calls for $297.68 million. That just might happen with the right political catalysts. CGC is a name to watch closely.</p>



<h2>Tilray (TLRY)</h2>

Like Canopy Growth above, TLRY stock has been all over the map this year. However, the price action is even wilder, leading to some anxious moments for stakeholders. For those interested in the cannabis lifestyle and consumer packaged goods specialist, you must be prepared for turmoil.</p>



<p>Like it or not, the narrative for Tilray comes down mostly to speculation. In terms of financials, it&rsquo;s difficult to dissect. In the past four quarters, the company incurred a loss per share of 11 cents. That&rsquo;s worse than the anticipated red ink of 5 cents. However, it&rsquo;s noteworthy that in the TTM period, Tilray rang up sales of $743.25 million, representing a sharply rising trajectory.</p>

<p>This installation took place at the Ghost Kitchens restaurant inside the Dawsonville, Ga. <strong>Walmart </strong>(NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/wmt-stock-quote/"><strong>WMT</strong></a>). That has the ADAM robot able to take orders and payments from customers while engaging in AI-powered conversation and preparing drinks.</p>



<p>Ghost Kitchens has reported positive feedback to ADAM from customers and it intends to expand its collaboration with Richtech Robotics. This has the company planning to bring ADAM to up to 240 of its locations.</p>



<p>Matt Casella, president of Richtech Robotics, said the following about the news.</p>




<p>&ldquo;ADAM&rsquo;s introduction to the beverage industry addresses several key challenges, including the need for consistency, efficiency, and a memorable customer experience. By automating drink preparation, ADAM is intended to allow human staff to focus on creating meaningful connections with guests, thereby elevating the overall customer experience.&rdquo;</p>

<p><strong>Tilray Brands</strong> (NASDAQ:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/tlry-stock-quote/"><strong>TLRY</strong></a></span>) stock jumped almost 3% early on July 22 after it got good news from Germany.</p>



<p>The marijuana and beer company received <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/news/tilray-receives-first-cannabis-cultivation-110000472.html">a cultivation license</a> from German authorities. They were acting under a new <a href="https://www.loc.gov/item/global-legal-monitor/2024-04-18/germany-new-cannabis-act-enters-into-force/">Cannabis Act</a> that legalized possession.</p>



<p>TLRY stock opened at $1.83 per share this morning, and its market capitalization rose to over $1.5 billion. The stock has slid a bit since opening and is down to just about 1.4% up as of this writing.</p>



<h2>Pot and Beer</h2>



<p>Tilray is down 22% in 2024 as it continues to broaden its offerings in marijuana and brewing.</p>



<p>The company is due to report earnings after the market closes <a href="https://www.americanbankingnews.com/2024/07/22/tilray-tlry-set-to-announce-quarterly-earnings-on-monday.html">on July 29</a>. On sales of about $175- $185 million, a small loss of about 2 cents per share is expected.</p>



<p>Tilray has continually lost money on its marijuana operations and has invested its capital instead in <a href="https://tilray.gcs-web.com/news-releases/news-release-details/tilray-brands-closes-transaction-acquiring-eight-beer-beverage">buying craft beer brands</a>. It is now the fifth largest craft brewer in the United States, with brands like Sweetwater, Widmer Brothers, and Shock Top.</p>



<p>The problem is that <a href="https://www.axios.com/local/denver/2024/04/16/craft-beer-breweries-2023-production-openings-closings">beer sales are flat</a>. Many brands are making half the beer they can make. They face stiff competition from giants like <strong>AB InBev</strong> (NYSE:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/bud-stock-quote/"><strong>BUD</strong></a></span>) on one side and brewery restaurants on the other.</p>



<p>But better news on the legalization front had Tilray seeking to raise <a href="https://mjbizdaily.com/tilray-to-raise-up-to-250-million-to-prep-for-us-cannabis-reform/">$250 million</a> during May with an at-the-market stock issue to be invested in marijuana operations.</p>



<p>The diversification has some analysts <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/news/tilray-brands-inc-nasdaq-tlry-040914345.html">pounding the table for Tilray</a>. It has the leading marijuana market share in both Canada and Germany.</p>



<p>But the bloom long ago left the bud in this industry. Investment marijuana had its heyday in the last decade after Colorado and Washington legalized it. There are currently just <a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/tlry/forecast">three analysts</a> following Tilray at Tipranks, and sentiment at Stocktwits is considered <a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/TLRY">neutral</a>.</p>



<h2>TLRY Stock: What Happens Next?</h2>



<p>Tilray has been kept afloat by beer as it awaits marijuana legalization in the U.S. A move in that direction would be positive for the stock.</p>

<p>XPeng and Volkswagen have reached a master agreement for their work together on electrical/electronic architecture (E/E Architecture). This will have them developing E/E Architecture locally-produced vehicles based on Volkswagen&rsquo;s China Main Platform (<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/cmp-stock-quote/"><strong>CMP</strong></a>) and Modular Electric Drive Matrix (MEB) platform.</p>



<p>This has them setting up Project House in Guangzhou and Hefei which will allow their engineers to work together on development. The two have also noted that this master agreement could allow for further collaborations between them.</p>



<p>Volkswagen&rsquo;s Ralf Brandst&auml;tter said the following about the agreement.</p>




<p>&ldquo;The rapid progress in the close cooperation between the Volkswagen Group and XPENG underlines the great potential of this partnership. With the joint development of a highly modern E/E Architecture, in which both partners contribute their technological expertise, we are now taking the next step together. For us at Volkswagen, this project is also the next milestone in the consistent implementation of our &lsquo;in China for China&rsquo; strategy.&rdquo;</p>

<p><strong>Canopy Growth </strong>(NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/cgc-stock-quote/"><strong>CGC</strong></a>) stock closed up 17.1% to start the week after Sunday&rsquo;s surprise announcement that President Joe Biden will step down from the 2024 election, instead supporting his current vice president, Kamala Harris. Investors are taking this as a win for Canopy Growth and its peers. </p>



<p>This is largely because of <a href="https://www.fool.com/investing/2024/07/22/why-canopy-growth-stock-jumped-9-on-monday/">Harris&rsquo; pro-legalization stance on cannabis</a>. If you recall, Harris has been publicly pro-cannabis since first joining the ticket with Biden. <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/kamala-harris-smoked-marijuana-college-calls-legalization/story?id=60992119">On a podcast</a> in 2019, Harris even confirmed having tried the green plant in the past. It seems cannabis investors are taking that to the bank today.</p>



<p>During the last election cycle, at the vice presidential debate between Harris and Mike Pence, she promised their administration would &ldquo;decriminalize marijuana, and we will expunge the records of those who have been convicted of marijuana.&rdquo;</p>



<p>While the Biden administration hasn&rsquo;t gone quite that far, there have at least been some attempts at reform.</p>



<p>Back in May, the Department of Justice, acting with support from the president, published a <a href="https://www.jacksonlewis.com/insights/department-justice-publishes-notice-proposed-rulemaking-reschedule-marijuana-schedule-iii#:~:text=The%20Department%20of%20Justice%20(DOJ,Register%20on%20May%2021%2C%202024.">Notice of Proposed Rule Making</a> that seeks to reschedule cannabis from a Schedule I drug with &ldquo;no currently accepted medical use and high potential for abuse,&rdquo; to a Schedule III drug, one &ldquo;with a moderate to low potential for physical and psychological dependence.&rdquo;</p>



<p>While the change hasn&rsquo;t yet been finalized, it would have a substantive effect on regulations surrounding cannabis in the country.</p>



<h2>Canopy Growth Stock Climbs on Potential Harris Presidential Bid</h2>



<p>While this isn&rsquo;t exactly a direct win for Canopy Growth, if Harris win the presidency in November, which, <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/538/polls-harris-trump-matchup/story?id=112162146">according to recent polls</a> is quite a big if, the chances of cannabis being entirely decriminalized is likely better than if a Republican took office.</p>



<p>Canopy Growth has taken a number of steps to give itself an advantage should the U.S. cannabis market really open up. It has already launched a Canopy USA business that may swallow up some smaller cannabis makers into a sort of super pot company.</p>



<p>Investors should also note that Canopy Growth is joined by peers <strong>Tilray</strong> (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/tlry-stock-quote/"><strong>TLRY</strong></a>), <strong>Cronos Group</strong> (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/cron-stock-quote/"><strong>CRON</strong></a>), and <strong>Aurora Cannabis</strong> (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/acb-stock-quote/"><strong>ACB</strong></a>), each of which is enjoying a strong day in the market thus far.</p>

<p><a href="https://investorplace.com/industries/healthcare/cannabis/">Cannabis stocks</a> have gained in the past couple of months following the federal government&rsquo;s <a href="https://www.reuters.com/markets/us/pot-stocks-jump-us-doj-moves-reclassify-cannabis-less-dangerous-drug-2024-04-30/#:~:text=Shares%20of%20U.S.%2Dlisted%20marijuana,justify%20their%20sky%2Dhigh%20valuations.">reclassification</a> of the drug. Experts also anticipate that the lobby to lift the ban on the U.S. financial institutions financing cannabis stocks and the reclassification may see the industry market value double to <a href="https://www.investopedia.com/top-cannabis-stocks-7495551">$57 billion by 2028</a>.</p>



<p>These three cannabis stocks, however, do not share the same growth trajectory the industry is expected to follow. A combination of internal accounting and business factors could cause these stocks to trail below the industry growth rate and potentially lose investors a lot of money.</p>



<p>If you hold any of these three stocks, you should reconsider your position. Let&rsquo;s dig into three struggling cannabis stocks to get your money out of by 2025.&nbsp;</p>



<h2>Canopy Growth (CGC)</h2>

The company&rsquo;s growth numbers have yet to meet target expectations in the long run. Canopy has fallen by more than <a href="https://www.investopedia.com/top-cannabis-stocks-7495551">three quarters</a> in the last year alone. Starting from an extremely small revenue base, Canopy initially saw its revenue soar, thanks to the legalization of cannabis in Canada.&nbsp;</p>



<p>However, accounting methodologies and other non-fundamental factors have driven far more excitement than warranted.</p>



<p>Canopy Growth has continued to burn more cash than the revenue it&rsquo;s generating, intending to bring production up to scale. The company has since dialed it back as demand in the Canadian market normalizes.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The company seems to hold a dominant position in a rather stagnant market. Given the current levels of taxation on cannabis, most people are resorting to the black market. This denies the Canadian cannabis industry a huge chunk of revenue.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Based on eight Wall Street analysts offering 12-month price targets for Canopy Growth in the last three months, the average price target is <a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/tse:weed/forecast">C$9.15</a>, with a high forecast of C$20.01 and a low forecast of C$2.73. The average price target represents a <a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/tse:weed/forecast">-6.46%</a> change from the last price of C$9.78.</p>



<p>Canopy&rsquo;s sales books aren&rsquo;t looking good either. The sales estimate for the next quarter is <a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/tse:weed/forecast">C$71.95 million</a>, with a range of C$67.00 million on the lower and C$75.70 million on the higher. Sales results in the previous quarter were C$72.79M.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The company has beaten its sales estimates<a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/tse:weed/forecast"> 50%</a> of the time in the previous 12 months. Meanwhile, the industry beat sales estimates by <a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/tse:weed/forecast">53.9%</a> in the same period. With this underperformance and no clear breakthrough strategy, investors are encouraged to <a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/tse:weed/forecast">hold</a> on to the CGC stock. This is not a good idea, factoring in the volatility of the cannabis industry.&nbsp;</p>



<h2>Sundial Growers (SNDL)</h2>

SNDL stock"><div>Source: Shutterstock</div></div><p><strong>Sundial Growers</strong> (NASDAQ:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/sndl-stock-quote/"><strong>SNDL</strong></a></span>) is one of the top cannabis stocks in the U.S. The company also produces and distributes inhalable products, including flowers, pre-rolls and vapes.</p>



<p>The company has struggled with profitability and market competition in the cannabis sector in the recent past as the industry players continue to grow and the market dwindles. However, with over $780 million in cash and marketable securities, Sundial still has a strong balance sheet.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Even with this capitation, the company continues to burn cash, reporting a free cash outflow of $6.4 million in Q1 despite the <a href="https://s201.q4cdn.com/372870431/files/doc_news/SNDL-Reports-First-Quarter-2024-Financial-and-Operational-Results-2024.pdf">improvement</a> year-over-year. If Sundial&rsquo;s retail profits deteriorate or growth initiatives don&rsquo;t pay off, the company may need to raise additional capital on less favorable terms.</p>



<p>Investors should also consider that Sundial has a history of dilutive capital raises, and its share <a href="https://stockanalysis.com/stocks/sndl/statistics/">structure</a> has become extremely complex, with multiple reverse splits. The stock is trading well below $2 with a market capitalization under $500 million, adding risk and volatility.</p>



<p>Furthermore, revenue declined sequentially from Q4 2023 due to seasonality in the company&rsquo;s Liquor and Cannabis Retail segments. Sundial&rsquo;s retail businesses could face pressure if consumer spending weakens or competition intensifies. This then positions Sundial as one of those stocks to sell for risk-averse investors.</p>



<h2>Tilray (TLRY)</h2>

In addition to cannabis, the company has additional product lines, including distribution, beverage alcohol and wellness business lines.</p>



<p>In 2023, the company acquired several brands, such as Anheuser-Busch, and <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-01-09/craft-beer-growth-is-saving-tilray-from-cannabis-vegetable-woes">doubled its alcohol</a> segment. The company has also actively generated important sales diversification within the growing U.S. cannabis market as the industry sees more legalization efforts.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Despite these strategic business moves, Tilray&rsquo;s financial reporting has not been good recently. The company is losing money at a faster rate than it is generating. While it is yet to report its Q2 earnings at the end of July, Q1 reports in February pointed to an actual <a href="https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/quote/TLRY/analysis/">ESP of -0.12 against the estimate of -0.05.</a>&nbsp;</p>



<p>The company&rsquo;s shares rebounded slightly in recent weeks following the reclassification of cannabis as a less dangerous drug but still sits at <a href="https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/quote/TLRY/analysis/">$1.79</a>. This is near its<a href="https://investorplace.com/2024/07/3-cannabis-stocks-to-buy-at-a-52-week-low-in-july/"> 52-week low</a> and even further from past highs pre-2020 when it traded north of $140.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The growth projections aren&rsquo;t promising either. Analysts anticipate Tilray&rsquo;s growth will slow down in the next quarter to 60% compared to the current quarter of <a href="https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/quote/TLRY/analysis/">86.7%</a>. The growth rate is also expected to slow down in the next five years, with experts expecting the company to grow at just <a href="https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/quote/TLRY/analysis/">37% </a>amidst the projected industry boom.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Given these growth projections, added to the fact that the company is generating more losses than profits, any risk-averse investor would consider Tilray one of the cannabis stocks to get their money out of before 2025.</p>
