Archer-Daniels Midland Post Strong Earnings (ADM)

Archers-Daniel Midland Co. (NYSE: ADM) reported a wide earnings beat this morning and the stock is rallying on the strength of this report. The Decatur, Illinois based agricultural commodities company posted net earnings of $567 million, or $0.88 per share during fiscal Q2. Analysts were only looking for EPS of $0.72. Revenues came in at $15.91 billion versus $16.54 in the year ago period.
