Fast Money Halftime Report (VALE, BHP, TEVA, GOOG, ADM, MOS)
The Fast Money Halftime Report just wrapped up on CNBC. Joe Terranova said that he thinks if you are going to trade oil futures and the energy sector that you need to be long. He said that you can maybe trade copper from the short side, however.
Tim Seymour said that "the China story is not changing," and that he likes both Vale (NYSE: VALE) and BHP Billiton (NYSE: BHP) as plays on higher iron ore prices. VALE and BHP are the largest and most important mining companies in the world.
Jared Levy, of Peak6 Investments, said that he is looking to short orange juice futures because he believes that the current high prices will moderate as the spring approaches. Levy also said that he likes Archers Daniels-Midland (NYSE: ADM) and Mosaic (NYSE: MOS) in the agricultural space and thinks that these companies will benefit from higher food costs. For tomorrow, Levy is looking for trades in Teva Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: TEVA) and Google (NASDAQ: GOOG).
