Benzinga's After Hours Gainers (JCI, BAX, GT, WMB)
Among the notable after hours gainers today are Johnson Controls (NYSE: JCI), Baxter International (NYSE: BAX), Goodyear Tire & Rubber (NYSE: GT), and The Williams Companies (NYSE: WMB).
Johnson Controls (JCI) fell 1.46% today during regular market hours. That trend has been reversed after hours, however, where the stock has gained 1.94% to $35.17. Volume has been heavy, with 239,048 shares trading hands on electronic exchanges after the NYSE closed for the week. The reason for the activity appears to be a bullish article which appeared on TheStreet.com.
Baxter International's (BAX) stock has been climbing in the late trading session. The stock fell 3.54% during regular trading hours on news that "U.S. health regulators are placing renewed focus on preventing problems associated with infusion pumps." In the after hours session, BAX shares have jumped 2.14% to $50.38 after a company spokeswoman said that the company "had already increased testing in the wake of the recall of its Colleague infusion pump."
Shares of Goodyear Tire & Rubber (GT) have gained 1.54% in the late trading session on light volume. During normal market hours, GT gained 0.62% to close at $14.58.
The Williams Companies (WMB) jumped 3.2% during the regular trading session, and has tacked on another 1.35% in the after hours. The shares are now trading for $24.83.
