After Hours Gainers (BDK, ATSI, APC, SNCR)
The Black & Decker Corporation (NYSE: BDK) rallied 21.50% to its new 52-week high after The Stanley Works (NYSE: SWK) and The Black & Decker Corporation (NYSE: BDK) announced today that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement to create Stanley Black & Decker, an $8.4 billion global industrial leader in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $4.5 billion.
ATS Medical, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATSI) surged 9.50% to $3.00 in extended hours after reaffirmed fiscal 2009 guidance and expects revenue guidance of $77-$79 million. Additionally, the Company anticipates it may generate net income in the fourth quarter of 2009. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts were expecting the Company to report revenues of $78 million for fiscal 2009; net profit of $0.64 for fourth quarter of 2009.
Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: APC) rose 1% to $62.40 it reported late Monday third-quarter net income fell to $200 million, or 40 cents a share, from $2.16 billion, or $4.58 a share, a year ago. Excluding one-time items, the company posted a loss of $51 million, or 11 cents a share. Revenue fell to $2.74 billion from $6.15 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet Research, whose estimates typically exclude one-time items, predicted a loss of 33 cents a share on $2 billion in revenue.
Synchronoss Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNCR) climbed about 7% to $12.40 after it said net income was $3.1 million, or 10 cents a share, compaared to net income of $2.3 million, or 7 cents per share, for the same period last year. On a non-GAAP basis, the company said it would have earned $4.4 million, or 14 cents a share, for the recent period. Revenue grew 26% to $33.1 million. Analysts were expecting earnings of 14 cents a share on revenue of $32 million, according to consensus forecasts from Thomson Reuters.
