Benzinga’s Top Pre- Market Losers (S, VOD)

Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE: S) plunged 3.79% to $3.30 in the pre-market session after Sprint Nextel announced that it plans to cut around 2000-2500 jobs till the end of the current year. Sprint plans to reduce labour costs by $350 million a year.

Vodafone Group Plc (ADR) (NASDAQ: VOD) is another stock that plummeted 3.88% or $0.90 to $22.28 after Vodafone announced that it plans to cut costs after its adjusted operating profit increased by 2.4% for the six-months ended September 30, 2009. So far this year, VOD is up 13% only.
