Amazon Includes Cannabis Company In AWS Data Marketplace For First Time

Enlighten Dispensary Solutions has become the first cannabis company to be included in the AWS Data Exchange, a marketplace for data run by Amazon.com, Inc.’s AMZN Amazon Web Services.

The cannabis tech company offers marketing solutions to pot businesses, including e-commerce platforms, inventory software and traffic analytics.

As businesses use its products and services, Enlighten is able to aggregate data from its clients' operations.

This data can be valuable for other cannabis businesses that can use it to enhance retail analytics suites, or for market research firms that can feed it into existing data platforms.

The data set carries SKU information from more than 20 legalized cannabis markets.

A 12-month subscription for the service is offered on AWS Marketplace for $40,000, with possible extra charges in taxes or fees.

“Enlighten has amassed a vast amount of valuable intelligence and seeks out industry partners that can derive great value from our data through AI and machine learning,” said Jeff Such, Enlighten's chief information officer.
