- Verizon Communications Inc VZ disclosed signing a 10-year deal worth up to $145.7 million with the United States Postal Service (USPS).
- Per the terms, Verizon will offer several infrastructure upgrades and help USPS lower operational costs by eradicating the need for premise infrastructure, software licenses and hardware.
- Verizon will support USPS's 80 million annual interactions with 4,500 contact center agents at ten business units.
- The deal is built on a successful 25-years partnership between both companies.
- With the agreement, Verizon becomes the USPS' key strategic contact center and customer experience partner.
- "Working with our USPS partners, Verizon will bring our Network as a Service offering to life, making their customer service network smarter and to make the customer support systems run more efficiently," said Maggie Hallbach, Senior VP of Verizon Public Sector and President of Verizon Frontline.
