Stocks are starting to drop sharply now, with the S&P and the NASDAQ down sharply, and the Dow down about 12 points. Despite this, there are a few stocks that having notable moves, one way or the other.
Jefferies Group, Inc. (NYSE:
JEF) is up more than 1% today on more than 600,000 shares. Last trade was $26.19, up 37 cents or 1.4%.
Dex One Corporation (NYSE:
DEXO) is up 34 cents to $8.04, as it continues to see strong buying on the back of the success of Groupon.
MannKind Corporation (NASDAQ:
MNKD) is plunging, losing more than 3% on heavy volume. The stock was up sharply earlier in the day, but started to drop on heavy volume just about 10 minutes ago.
BP (NYSE:
BP) is down sharply, over 1.6% on news that the U.S. government is suing BP over the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
