Emerging Global, the ETF issuer known for its all-emerging markets lineup, plans to introduce the EGShares Technology Gems ETF QGEM on Thursday. The new ETF will track the Dow Jones Emerging Markets Technology Titans 30 Index and feature an expense ratio of 0.3%.
As of April 30, the average market value of index members was $1.6 billion with a range of $100 million to $6 billion, according to the ETF's prospectus.
Index members include Hong Kong-listed TCL Communication Technology Holdings and China's VanceInfo Technologies VIT.
Some of Emerging Global's better known ETFs include the EGShares Emerging Markets Consumer ETF ECON, the EGShares Brazil Infrastructure ETF BRXX and the EGShares India Small Cap ETF SCIN.
At the end of May, the firm had nine ETFs on the market with $531 million in assets under management, according to data from the National Stock Exchange.
