Joe Rogan Says Education, Addiction Recovery And Homelessness Should Be Funded More – 'It's A Good Idea To Have More Happy, Healthy People'

In an almost three-hour conversation with author, comedian and political commentator Kat Timpf, Joe Rogan focused on the need for better funding for education, addiction recovery and homelessness programs. He pointed out that creating a healthier, happier society benefits everyone, saying, “It’s a good idea to have more healthy, happy people in our society. But also, you can't rob the store. But also, you shouldn’t just be able to sneak in across the border because terrorists are a real thing.”

Don't Miss:

To him, it’s vital to balance progressive goals with the enforcement of laws. On one hand, we should support initiatives to help people overcome addiction, improve education and reduce homelessness, but also reinforce the fact that society needs law and order.

Rogan talked about how cities are dealing with more crime, to the point that some businesses are leaving because of looting and not enough action from the authorities. It’s something we’ve heard many times from people like Kevin O’Leary, who called California a dumpster fire.

When Rogan’s guest said that no one supports people freely robbing stores and letting violent criminals out of jails, Rogan countered with, “except really super Progressive DAs who think that the criminal justice system is inherently racist and the way to fix it is to just let people out.”

Rogan has discussed societal issues many times before. In a chat with Estonian comedian Ari Matti Mustonen, Rogan criticized how companies twist the truth to make more money. He explained that media outlets are often afraid to call out their advertisers, saying, “They’re not going to tell you the truth if they don't have to – if they can avoid it and make more money, they will.”

And in a recent episode with Michael Malice, Rogan suggested that if corporate CEOs started using psychedelics, they would run their businesses more ethically. Their psychedelic experiences would help them see beyond money and consider how their actions affect people.

Nevertheless, one common criticism of Joe Rogan is that while he often speaks out against corporate influence, media manipulation and societal problems, he himself has a massive platform and almost unseen influence in this day and age. To some, his critiques of MSM and corporations are hypocritical because his podcast has become one of the most influential media platforms in the world and he’s often accused of spreading false information to his millions of listeners.
