Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ: TECD) climbed 5% to $44.98 after it reported third-quarter net income of $43.1 million, or $0.84 a share as compared to $16.8 million or $0.33 per share from the same quarter last year. While sales were $5.6 billion, a decrease of 8% from the year ago period. Analysts expected earnings of $0.71 a share and sales of $5.38 billion.

Origin Agritech Ltd. (NASDAQ: SEED) jumped 22% to $6.40 in the pre-market session after Origin Agritech announced that the company has received the Bio-safety Certificate from the Ministry of Agriculture as a final approval for commercial approval of the world's first genetically modified phytase corn. In the trading session, SEED closed at $5.21. So far this year, SEED gained over 155%.

Yongye International, Inc. (NASDAQ: YONG) moved up 9.04% to $8.52 in the pre-market session. The 52 week trading range for YONG is $0.65 - $12.00. YONG ended at $8.52 in the last trading session. In the last six month, YONG gained over 23%.
