French aerospace company&nbsp;Safran&nbsp;(OTC: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/safry#OTC">SAFRY</a>) has agreed to&nbsp;<a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://www.safran-group.com/pressroom/safran-acquire-collins-aerospace-s-actuation-and-flight-control-business-2023-07-21" style="background-image:initial; background-position:initial; background-size:initial; background-repeat:initial; background-attachment:initial; background-origin:initial; background-clip:initial; margin-top:0pt; margin-bottom:0pt; color:#4a6ee0" target="_blank">acquire&nbsp;</a>an aerospace business from&nbsp;RTX Corp&nbsp;(NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/rtx#NYSE">RTX</a>) in cash for an enterprise value of $1.8 billion.
The activity to be acquired from Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, is a global provider of actuation and flight control systems for commercial &amp; military aircraft and helicopters.
The business has around 3,700 employees across eight facilities in Europe (France, U.K. and Italy) and Asia. It is expected to generate sales of approximately $1.5 billion and an EBITDA of $130 million in 2024E.
The deal is expected to boost Safran&rsquo;s grip in critical flight control (ATA27) and actuation functions along with value creation for its shareholders, with an accretive impact on earnings per share from year one.
As part of the contemplated acquisition, long-term supply agreements (covering ~25% of sales) would be secured between Safran and Collins at attractive terms.
The deal is expected to close in the course of H2 2024.&nbsp;
