New 52-Week High Stocks (VIP, RINO, YONG, SCSS, CVI)
Vimpel-Communications (ADR) (NYSE: VIP) touched a new 52-week high at $19.90 in today’s morning trade. Currently the stock is trading at $19.74, up 10.09% on 4.97 million shares. Today, Telenor ASA announced that Telenor Group and Altimo (the telecom arm of the Alfa Group) have reached an agreement to combine their holdings in VympelKom OAO (OJSC VimpelCom) and Kyivstar into a new jointly-owned mobile telecoms operator, VimpelCom Ltd.
RINO International Corporation (NASDAQ: RINO) soared 11.30% to $23.15 on total volume of 1.75 million shares so far. Today RINO made a new 52-week high of $23.35.
Yongye International, Inc. (NASDAQ: YONG) was another stock which made a new 52 week high of $10.37 and now trades at $9.97, increased 10.52% on no news. So far this year, shares of YONG have given a return of over 44%.
Select Comfort Corp. (NASDAQ: SCSS) made a new 52-week high at $5.34 and currently trading higher 12.05% at $5.30 on unusual volume of 695K shares. Today Select Comfort Corp. announced it terminated the Securities Purchase Agreement entered into with Sterling Partners on May 22, 2009, and entered into a new Securities Purchase Agreement. As part of the termination agreement, both companies mutually released claims relating to the original agreement.
CVR Energy, Inc. (NYSE: CVI) today broken its previous 52-week high and made a new high at $13.34 and now up 7.60% and trades at $12.04 with a total volume of 1.02 million shares. In the last 6 months shares of CVI are doubled.
