Shares of Johnson & Johnson JNJ gained about 3% after the company reported its Q1 earnings at $3.48 billion, or $1.25 per share, versus $4.53 billion, or $1.62 per share, in the year-earlier period. On an adjusted basis, the company's earnings came in at $1.35 per share. The company's revenue increased 3.5% to $16.2 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.25 per share on revenue of $15.75 billion. The company raised its earnings forecast for the full year to a range of $4.90 to $5 per share, from $4.80 to $4.90 per share. However, analysts projected earnings of $4.84 per share for the full year.
